About Potter’s Wheel School of Ministry

Formed by Purpose.
Released for Impact.

To restore, shape, and prepare individuals for purposeful ministry through the transforming power of God’s Word and Spirit.

“Moulding Lives, Shaping Destiny.”

Our Purpose

Why We Exist

“To restore, shape, and prepare individuals for purposeful ministry through the transforming power of God’s Word and Spirit.”

Inspired by Jeremiah 18:4 – “And the vessel that he made of clay was marred… so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make.”

What We Stand For

  • To equip the Saints for the work of the ministry
  • To raise leaders for the end-time harvest
  • To entrust to faithful people the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ who would be willing to commit to the faithful ones also
Our Vision

What We Are Building

“To raise a generation of restored, equipped, and Spirit-empowered leaders who reflect Christ and reshape their world.”

We envision a global network of vessels of honour – people who were once broken, now rebuilt for Kingdom impact.

What We Look Toward

  • To win souls for Christ
  • To depopulate the kingdom of satan and populate the kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ
  • To make disciples of all nations
Our Mission

What We Are Called to Do

“Potter’s Wheel School of Ministry exists to transform broken lives into purposeful vessels through the power of God’s Word, spiritual formation, and intentional leadership training. We are committed to restoring, equipping, and releasing servant leaders who are moulded by truth, empowered by the Spirit, and commissioned to impact their world for Christ.”

Our Foundation

Core Values

The values that shape every teaching, every relationship, and every decision at Potter’s Wheel School of Ministry.

01

Christ-Centeredness

We believe Jesus Christ is the center of all we do. Every teaching, training, and ministry effort is rooted in His life, His Word, and His example.

“In Him we live, and move, and have our being.” – Acts 17:28

02

Transformation

We value the process of spiritual transformation – from brokenness to wholeness, from clay to vessel – through the Word of God, prayer, and the work of the Holy Spirit.

“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” – Romans 12:2

03

Restoration

We are committed to restoring wounded, forgotten, and marred lives, believing that no vessel is beyond the Potter’s reach.

“He restores my soul.” – Psalm 23:3

04

Servant Leadership

We raise leaders who serve, not dominate – modeling Christ’s humility, love, and sacrifice.

“Whoever wants to be great must become your servant.” – Matthew 20:26

05

Biblical Integrity

We are guided by the unchanging truth of God’s Word. It is our foundation for teaching, leadership, correction, and growth.

“All Scripture is inspired by God… for training in righteousness.” – 2 Timothy 3:16

06

Empowerment

We train, equip, and release people to walk boldly in their gifts, callings, and assignments with confidence and authority.

“You shall receive power…” – Acts 1:8

07

Discipleship and Multiplication

We believe in making disciples who make disciples – reproducing Christlike character and leadership in others.

“Go and make disciples of all nations.” – Matthew 28:19

08

Accountability and Character

We uphold godly character, accountability, and spiritual discipline in every leader and member.

“Moreover, it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.” – 1 Corinthians 4:2

Six Ministry Pillars

The Heart of Our Teaching

01

Spiritual Formation

Everything begins here. Before competence, character. Before doing, being. Our teaching builds prayerful, scripturally grounded believers whose ministry flows from a life shaped by God.

02

Practical Ministry Training

We teach what the local church actually needs: preaching, pastoral care, teaching, worship leading, intercession, administration, and the everyday craft of serving God’s people well.

03

Leadership Development

We develop leaders who lead from spiritual depth, not platform charisma. The leader’s interior life is the work, and PWSM is intentional about that from the very first session.

04

Evangelism & Outreach

Sharing the gospel with clarity and compassion across cultures and generations is at the heart of our calling. We equip our students to take that message everywhere, including hospitals, prisons, and the streets.

05

Mentorship & Discipleship

We walk alongside our students. Formation happens in relationship as much as in lecture. PWSM is intentionally a community as much as a curriculum.

06

Purpose-Driven Believers

Every student is here to discover and step into the calling for which they were uniquely formed. We help them find it, name it, and walk in it with confidence and authority.

Institutional Philosophy

The Potter’s Method

The name “Potter’s Wheel” is not decorative. It is the operating model. Just as the potter works the clay patiently on the wheel – pressing, shaping, correcting, and forming – so PWSM works with each student through structured formation.

How We Work

Formation, Not Information

Ministry training at PWSM is never merely academic. Doctrine is always accompanied by devotion. Leadership theory is always accompanied by prayer. Teaching is always accompanied by pastoral relationship.

The potter does not instruct the clay from a distance. The potter’s hands are always on it. This is why the live cohort model matters. This is why the founder teaches in person. This is why prayer is part of every session. The school is not a content platform. It is a formation environment.

Every cohort also includes practical ministry work: outreach to hospitals, prisons, and street evangelism. Students do not only learn about ministry. They step into it.

Our Story

How PWSM Began

Potter’s Wheel School of Ministry was born out of a conviction held over decades of pastoral ministry: that the church most needs not more programmes, but more believers who are genuinely formed in the hands of God.

Founded under the leadership of Apostle Anthony Owusu-Banahene, alongside his wife and ministry partner, Pastor Angelina Owusu-Banahene, whose prayer, strength, and steadfast support have been a backbone throughout the years, the school began as an extension of years of mentoring believers across continents.

It now serves an international cohort of students, drawn together each year for thirteen weeks of structured teaching, prayer, and practical training. The school’s name is its method. The image is from Jeremiah 18: a potter shaping clay on the wheel, patient, intentional, hands-on. That is what we do, and that is what we trust God to do in every student who joins us.

What Sets Us Apart

What Makes PWSM Distinct

Cohort-Based, Not On-Demand

You begin with a group and walk together. The community is part of the curriculum, and it is one of the things our graduates value most.

Live, Not Pre-Recorded

Every session is live. Questions are real. Prayer is real. The teaching happens in the room with you, not on a screen from the past.

International by Design

Our cohorts span the United Kingdom, Ghana, Europe, and North America, by intention, not accident. The breadth of the body of Christ is part of the learning.

Spirit-Led Excellence

We hold the standards of a serious institution and the warmth of a praying family in the same hand. Rigour and relationship are not opposites here.

Practical Ministry Included

Every cohort goes beyond the classroom. Students participate in real outreach, including hospital ministry, prison ministry, and street evangelism, as part of their formation.

Founder-Led Teaching

Our founder teaches into many sessions directly, not as an occasional guest, but as a shepherd who knows and prays for his students by name.

“In the Potter’s Hands, We Are Formed for His Purpose.”
